Immigration

We are all immigrants, even the Native Americans came from another continent, if out scientists are correct.

When each of us came here we changed the culture, economy and environment away from what had been the 'staus quo' of the previous generations of occupants.

Cultures who have fought these changes have been or are being relegated to history.

Japan will fail not because the are not industrious but because it is a closed and racist society that will not permit foreigners to fully join its culture.

Having said that that, the concept that we need the massive and illegal immigration of poor, uneducated, unskilled workers into this country is ridiculous.

They are not taking jobs Americans will not do they are taking jobs Americans will not do for the wages being offered.

These 'illegal' immigrants are being exploited by American business. What do you think would happen to them if they asked for higher wages or, God forbid, organized to protect themselves from this exploitation.

The new immigration policy should not only add enforcement to the boarders but fine the employers who hire these people enough to make it economically impractical to hire them.

We had this thing called Freedom

Back in the old days we could go to the airport, give them our money and get a ticket.

We would go to the airplane, show them our ticket and get aboard.

After a few airplanes were 'hi-jacked' by some crazy people who wanted to go to Havana or someplace else the plane wasn't going we had to go through a metal detector, and agree to be searched for weapons before we got on the plane.

After another bunch of crazy people started blowing up planes with bombs in their luggage we had to show an ID to buy a ticket and then go through a metal detector and be searched.

After another bunch of crazy people flew airplanes into buildings weapons included nail clippers, and IDs were checked more diligently. The old anti-German war movies where the gestapo man would ask "papieren bitte" (papers please), or at least those scenes in them, seem to have disappeared.

The people who foiled the hijackers over Pennsylvania did more to deter future attempts than any measure the authorities have taken.

About all the old Soviet Union had to brag about was that the streets of Moscow were safer (unless you disagreed with government) than the streets of New York.

The streets of Berlin were safer (unless you were a Jew) under Nazi rule than they are now.

We cannot give up our freedoms to one bunch of crazy people because another bunch of crazy people threaten us.
